Manifestations Nocturnes

from Carré Rouge EP by Apoplexia

/

about

The second song on my EP "Carré Rouge", the soundtrack to the social upheaval that happened in Québec throughout the past spring and summer.

this song is about the protests that took place every night following the introduction of Law 78. These nightly protests were initially populated mainly by students against the tuition increased forced upon them by the government. However they soon expanded to include people from all ages and social backgrounds opposed to the government's actions. The protest were further marked by massive monthly demonstrations on the 22nd day of each month since March and they are still ongoing.
